About NYC Circa

My name is Anne, and I am an archivist working in New York City for two Business Improvement Districts in midtown Manhattan. I do a fair mount of research for work, and started this blog as a way to keep track of it all. The majority of my posts focus on these assignments, and more specifically, the buildings and public spaces located within the Bryant Park and 34th Street districts of New York City. The remaining posts reflect scattered forays into other research projects, found items, and interesting off-subject stories.

I love history, especially contradicting versions of it, documentary photography, and putting everything into rows and stacks. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy the blog.
